Since I Said Goodbye
I haven’t posted anything on here in a while. That’s partly due to the fact that I’ve wanted to develop my songs with Coastal Contradiction before they see the light of day, but it’s also because my priorities became enormously mixed up this year. I’d like to think I have straightened them out and that I am finally on the right path to accomplish all that seek to do, but only time will tell. This year has been struggle. But through it all, music was there. And music resulted from it. I hope to remember and carry with me all that I have learned.
,Okay. Let me start off by saying its been entirely too long since I posted a song on here. But with that said, I would venture to say that this song is definitely worth all that time and more. This is called “The Splendor of Lights” and I have worked long and hard on this beauty. But I did not do it alone. I must express my sincerest gratitude and appreciation to my good friend Kareem, who provided the awesome solo that can be heard after the bridge. He also helped to shape the song into what it is today and mixed it so it would sound really great. I am ecstatic with how well this turned out and I hope to continue to make quality recordings like this one.
Thank you for listening and if you like what you hear, please share it with your friends.

,hey tumblr. long time no see. sorry. i am a terrible blogger. but that’s not the point of this. new music is coming…soon ;)
Hello,
I am excited to present the first collaboration between myself and my dear friend Jake. Throughout the years we have repeatedly noted the need to start writing songs together and finally we have combined our efforts to bring you this gem called “Eternal Return”. As this song came together before us, we knew that it was the best material that either of us had ever worked on. We are both extremely proud of what we accomplished and with your continued support, we are positive that it is only the beginning of more wonderful music to enjoy.
Thanks for listening,
Michael
,This is a new song I wrote called “The New You”. Really happy with how this turned out, especially the drums which were done using the software in GarageBand. Please note that I am not a drummer so don’t expect to hear anything amazing but I do believe it gets the job done. I wrote this song to help cheer me up when I was down, so hopefully it will do the same for you.

much like this blog, i will probably update it a lot for a week or two and then won’t for a few months, remember it and then update it again.
but on that note…I do promise to post a new song in the next few days. I have several unrecorded gems that are begging to be shared with the world.

p.s. didn’t feel like capitalizing in this post. but you are obviously not here for my grammar abilities…so don’t hate.
I got a chance to do a quick recording of my new song today. It’s called “A Message” and I am glad with how it turned out. Give it a listen if you please.
I think I am back with writing so it might not be too long before a new song is up.
Stay tuned.

,This a cover of “My Beloved Monster” by Eels that I recorded in my dorm room with the window open to capture the sounds of Boston. I really didn’t edit the sounds accept for the honking in the beginning because I find it amusing and it is something that I have found to be true. If one person honks their horn, without fail, someone else will honk too. I guess they just want to fit in. As for everything else, it just ended up fitting with the song. I am proud of this little recording that I’d like to call “My Beloved Monster (Boston From 710)”
enjoy =)

,
How come it tastes so much better from a glass bottle? I just got one as a gift and figured tonight would be a great time to have it after an exhausting day at work. It is the simple things like this that I take for granted. Maybe it is a recent change in my life or maybe it is just the Spring air that has filled my lungs and brought back that undeniable urge for Summer’s sun to envelope the sky. It is a great feeling that I always forget until it is here again. More insights to come…
